TI Confirms Imagination Technologies’ PowerVR SGX Graphics Accelerator Technology Used In Omap™ 3


Imagination Technologies Group plc (LSE:IMG; “”;Imagination””;) – a leader in System-on-Chip Intellectual Property (“”;SoC IP””;) – confirms that Texas Instruments Incorporated, a world-leading semiconductor company, will utilize Imagination’s PowerVR SGX graphics core family members in its next generation application processor family, OMAP™ 3 architecture, starting with the OMAP3430 and OMAP3420 processors.

This follows the announcement of the licensing of this technology to TI on 2 October 2006.

Under the terms of its licensing arrangements Imagination receives license fees and royalty revenues on SoCs incorporating Imagination’s IP shipped by partners.
